Our story
El Colorao
El Colorao opened in 1937 in the Barrio Bajo of Sanlúcar de Barrameda, a few steps from the market and the square. The fryer has not stopped since.
The house has always focused on fried fish: sole, anchovies, dogfish, cuttlefish and baby squid arrive from the market and are floured to order.
Today it is part of Bodegas Barbadillo. We keep the same recipe, properly cold manzanilla and a table where lunch can last a little longer.

Do I need to book?
Booking is advisable at weekends and for groups. You can book by phone, WhatsApp or through ElTenedor.
Are there gluten-free options?
Yes. Some fish can be fried with gluten-free flour and some ice creams are gluten-free. Please ask your waiter before ordering.
Can we come with children?
Yes. Let us know when booking if you need a high chair or room for a pushchair.
